Nisbet:  Workspace Science for Conservation of Energy - 2020 this assignment will be evaluated since it was given out and due before March Break. (most students have finished it)

Le système respiratoire: catch-up from last week, if needed. There are enrichment opportunities for those who are caught up. Students have the opportunity to create a working model of a lung.
Études sociales
Follow the pink cards.
Students will identify and describe the areas inhabited by the Iroquois and Algonquian groups
  • Complete a chart about the environment that either the Iroquois OR Algonquians lived in (requires research on the internet)
  • Identify two inventions of Indigenous people  that helped them travel more easily in the winter
  • Ask a question concerning travel amongst Indigenous people.
Français Imm.
Follow the green cards.
Listening Comprehension: listen to a video interview with Justin Trudeau and Dr. Tam as they answer children’s questions.  Fill out a Google form to show understanding.

Mme Verhoeven will have a Google Meet with her French class on Tuesday, April 28 @ 1 - 1:30 pm.  Students will receive an invitation to join through their @ocsbstudent account.  Students only need to click on the link in their email to join.

Continue to read Daily en français (15 minutes) and to log your books in your reading log.  Reading A-Z is a great site to access French leveled books.

Extended French and Social Studies
In your Social Studies Hapara folder, there will be two documents: “week 4” and “parties du bison.”  You will be learning about the Siksikas tribe.  Please read the typed notes in the “week 4” doc and try to answer the questions. Check out the picture of the bison in “parties du bison” doc to see how the Siksikas tribe utilized all parts of the bison and did not waste.  Very interesting!
