Read 15 minutes in French each day

A great way to develop your child's French Language skills is Daily Reading en français. It gives the students "Input" such as vocabulary, sentence structures, expressions .... to give "Output" such as speaking and writing.

Students are encouraged to read 15 minutes a day as practice. During this allotted time, students can read ONE book at least 4X out loud.
In their French workspace,  there will be a google doc that will serve as a LOG to help them track their efforts.  The workspace is found in their Student Portal under JER-1FRE-13-1920.

French Books on-line

Some students are still working in Boukili (Link) but I wanted to share with you another online resource Reading A-Z. (Link)

Reading A-Z might be new to some of you so I thought I would share a few steps and features.

  • Each book is leveled, AA being the easiest and Z2 the most difficult.
  • Be sure to select French Leveled Books located on the left side of the webpage.
  • Once the student has selected the book they would like to read, select Projectable under the subtitle Book Resources to see the book in a larger view
  • After the student has read the book out loud at least 4 Times, there is a Comprehension Quiz  with answers provided at the end.

💗💗  Merci pour lire en français avec votre enfant!  💗💗
